Overview

USKoreanJobs LLC (the "Company," "we," "us," or "our") values the privacy of our users. We strictly comply with applicable U.S. Federal Laws, the Maryland Personal Information Protection Act ("PIPA"), and the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act ("MODPA"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and secure your personal information when you use our online job platform.


Section 1 (Purpose of Collection and Use)

We use the collected personal information strictly for the following purposes and DO NOT sell your personal information or use it for unauthorized purposes:

  1. Membership Registration and Management: To identify users, verify accounts, maintain and manage member status, prevent fraudulent activities (such as job scams), and deliver notices or updates.
  2. Provision of Job Matching Services: To manage job postings and paid advertisements (Premium and Banner Ads), provide a platform connecting Employers and Job Seekers, offer customized job information, and analyze service usage statistics.
  3. Customer Support: To process inquiries, investigate fraud reports regarding job listings, and collect feedback for service improvement.


Section 2 (Categories of Personal Information Collected)

We collect only the minimum amount of information necessary to provide the Service. We do not collect sensitive data (such as race, religion, health status, sexual orientation, or Social Security Numbers (SSN)).

  1. Required Information: Name, email address, phone number, and password (stored using secure cryptographic hashing).
  2. Optional Information: Company name (for Employers), industry type, business address, professional experience, and resume information.
  3. Automatically Collected Information: IP address, cookies, date and time of visit, browser type, and service usage/fraud logs.


Section 3 (Retention and Destruction of Personal Information)

  1. In principle, we promptly destroy your personal information once the purpose of collection is achieved or when a user terminates their account.
  2. However, we retain certain information for specific periods to comply with legal obligations and ensure platform safety:
    • Fraud and Abuse Prevention Logs: Retained for one (1) year following account deactivation to cooperate with law enforcement if necessary.
    • Financial and Transaction Records: Financial transaction data (processed via Stripe) is retained for five (5) to seven (7) years to comply with tax and corporate regulations.


Section 4 (No Sale or Sharing of Personal Information)

  1. WE DO NOT SELL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, NOR DO WE SHARE IT WITH THIRD PARTIES FOR CROSS-CONTEXT BEHAVIORAL/TARGETED ADVERTISING.
  2. We do not disclose personal information to external entities, except in the following limited circumstances:
    • When a Job Seeker explicitly consents to share their contact information and resume with an Employer through the platform;
    • When required by U.S. Federal Law, Maryland State Law, or in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or law enforcement warrant.


Section 5 (Third-Party Data Processors)

To ensure optimal service, we delegate certain data processing tasks to secure third-party service providers that adhere to high industry standards of data protection:

If you are a resident of the State of Maryland, you are entitled to specific rights under MODPA regarding your personal information:

  1. Right to Access: The right to confirm whether we are processing your personal data and to access such data.
  2. Right to Correct: The right to request the correction of inaccuracies in your personal data.
  3. Right to Delete: The right to request the deletion of personal data provided by or obtained about you.
  4. Right to Opt-out: The right to opt-out of the processing of personal data for targeted advertising, sale, or profiling (Note: We do not engage in these activities).

Section 7 (Data Security and Breach Notification)

  1. Security Measures: We implement industry-standard administrative, physical, and technical safeguards. All passwords are encrypted via one-way hashing. Data transmissions are encrypted using SSL/TLS protocols.
  2. Data Breach Notification: In the event that a data breach occurs compromising the personal information of Maryland residents, we will notify affected individuals and the Maryland Attorney General’s Office without unreasonable delay (and within 45 days) in accordance with Maryland PIPA.


Section 8 (Cookies and Tracking Technologies)

  1. We use "Cookies" to enhance user experience and analyze website traffic.
  2. You can refuse to accept cookies by adjusting your web browser settings. However, disabling cookies may limit your ability to use certain features, such as automatic log-in or paid ad management.

제2조 (수집하는 개인정보 항목)

회사는 서비스 제공에 필요한 최소한의 정보만을 수집하며, 어떠한 경우에도 민감 정보(인종, 종교, 건강 상태, 성적 지향, 사회보장번호(SSN) 등)를 수집하지 않습니다.

  1. 필수 수집 항목: 이름, 이메일 주소, 전화번호, 비밀번호(해시 암호화 저장).

제3조 (개인정보의 보유 및 이용기간)

  1. 회사는 개인정보 수집 및 이용목적이 달성되거나 회원이 탈퇴한 경우, 해당 정보를 지체 없이 파기합니다.
  2. 단, 관련 법령 준수 및 플랫폼 안전을 위해 다음 정보는 명시한 기간 동안 보존합니다:
    • 구직사기 및 부정이용 방지 기록: 회원 탈퇴일로부터 1년 (수사기관 협조용)
    • 세법 및 거래 기록: 결제 관련 증빙 서류 및 장부는 관련 법령에 따라 5년~7년 보존 (Stripe 결제 데이터 등)

제4조 (개인정보의 제3자 제공 및 매매 금지)

  1. 회사는 이용자의 개인정보를 제3자에게 절대 판매(Sale)하거나 타겟 광고 목적으로 공유하지 않습니다.
  2. 회사는 원칙적으로 외부에 개인정보를 제공하지 않으나, 다음의 경우는 예외로 합니다:
    • 이용자가 서비스를 통해 구인·구직 의사를 밝히고 상대방에게 정보 공개를 직접 승인한 경우 (최소한의 이름, 연락처, 이력서 등)
    • 미국 연방법 또는 메릴랜드 주법에 의거하거나, 합법적인 법원 명령 및 수사기관의 영장에 따른 요청이 있는 경우

제8조 (쿠키의 운영 및 거부)

  1. 회사는 이용자에게 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하고 웹사이트 트래픽을 분석하기 위해 '쿠키(Cookie)'를 사용합니다.
